Beyblade is a brand name for a line of spinning top toys originally developed and manufactured by Takara Tomy in 2000. The toys include a 'launcher' – a device for bringing the spinning top up to speed. Players eject the tops into a plastic arena, with a slightly dished base, where they subsequently strike each other. The last top still spinning wins.
Player check in starts at 2:30 p.m. with a charge of $5 a player and $5 for a raffle ticket. Pre-registration is required by noon Friday.
Beybladers can register by calling the front desk at 914-366-7898. Questions may be emailed to Burnett at firstname.lastname@example.org .
