“We are looking forward to a really exciting season,” said Suzanne Sorrentino, co-president of Rivertowns Village Green, the volunteer organization that runs the market. “Shoppers will notice a huge expansion in the number of vendors with exciting additions for everyone. Last year’s favorite vendors are returning and we have added the fun, the funky and the fundamental to this incredible market.”

The market will run every Saturday from May 28 through Nov. 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Patriots Park, located on Route 9 on the Tarrytown-Sleepy Hollow village border. This season, the market will have more than 30 weekly vendors: with 20 regular vendors and more than a dozen “rotating” vendors.

The market will continue to feature regular staples like a broad range of produce, eggs, meat, cheese, bread and desserts as well as welcome additions like mushrooms, artisanal dumplings and even a farm brew beer truck where shoppers can fill up their own growlers. A full and expanding list of vendors is available on the market's website.

To kick off the upcoming season, the The Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow Farmers Market or TaSH will be hosting its first TaSH Talk prior to opening day on Thursday, May 19 from 7 to 8 p.m. at Muddy Water Coffee and Cafe, 52 Main St. in Tarrytown. Local Westchester farmers will participate in a panel discussion and Q and A about the importance of buying and eating local. All community members are welcome to join.

“The TaSH is so much more than a farmers market,” said Tammy Abraham, co-president of Rivertowns Village Green. Volunteers and community organizations interested in getting involved are encouraged to contact tashfarmersmarket@gmail.com.
