TARRYTOWN, N.Y. -- The Tarrytown Music Hall recently hosted an event called Presently in the Past, a slide presentation by Paul Barrett on the "Estates of Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown."
More than 500 people attended this free event , a collaboration with the Historical Society of Tarrtyown and Sleepy Hollow, to learn more about the history of the estates.
Following the presentation, the Historical Society held “Stump the Historians,” and questions from the audience were gathered as the audience tried to stump the historians.
Bjorn Olssen, director of the music hall, said the intent of the event was to unveil a Historical Society display that will have a permanent home at the music hall for patrons to enjoy year-round.
Scott Monge, president of the Historical Society, said he appreciated the opportunity to showcase to the public the treasures and memories the Historical Society preserves.
