Tarrytown Marks 40th Anniversary Of Operation Entebbe

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – The Chabad of Briarcliff-Ossining will mark the 40th anniversary of Operation Entebbe with a presentation by former Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) commander Sassy Reuven, who was present at the raid, on Wednesday, Feb. 3 at the DoubleTree Hotel at 7:30 p.m.

Operation Entebbe, or Operation Thunderbolt, was the rescuing of Israeli hostages from Entebbe Airport in Uganda on July 4, 1976. 102 Israelis were saved by the IDF after hijackers diverted the plane from Tel Aviv to Uganda.
