Formed in Sleepy Hollow, the Slambovians are pioneers of the alt-folk/Americana genre and paved the way for DIY before it was fashionable, turning down major label deals all along the way.

The Slambovians’ most recent album is "Box of Everything" from 2014. The band presents both quirky Americana and Zen-like anthems in a universe entirely of their own making.

The Slambovians are Joziah Longo, songwriter/vocals/guitar/harmonica, Sharkey McEwen, guitar/mandolin, multi-instrumentalist, Tink Lloyd, accordion/cello/ukelele/theremin and melodica and Eric Puente, drums and percussion.

The Weight is a five-piece ensemble featuring Jim Weider (guitar) and Randy Ciarlante (drums) from The Band. Brian Mitchell (keyboards) and Byron Isaacs (bass) were in the Levon Helm Band. Marty Grebb (singer/multi-instrumentalist) worked with Rick Danko and Richard Manuel of The Band.

The Tarrytown Music Hall is at 13 Main St., Tarrytown. Tickets cost between $33 and $38. To order tickets, call 877-840-0457 or go to tarrytownmusichall.org/
