The incident happened just before 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 14, in Saratoga County, on Route 70 in the Town of Stillwater.

According to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, 20-year-old Tyler Desnoyers was riding a motorcycle eastbound on Route 70 when he lost control and struck a westbound car.

Debris from the bike struck a second westbound vehicle, leaving visible damage.

Desnoyers was pronounced dead at the scene, deputies said. Nobody in the other vehicles was injured.

Investigators said speed and limited sight distance were factors in the crash.

Desnoyers’ death is another loss for a family already scarred by tragedy. His brother McKinley died in November 2015 at the age of 20, according to a campaign created on the website MealTrain.

“I can’t even imagine the pain she is feeling right now,” reads the campaign. “Please send Tracy and her family some prayers and come together as a community to provide some comfort food for them.”

Tributes have also poured in from friends and relatives on social media.

“Words cannot express the sadness and sorrow that this family is going through tonight. Another one gone too soon,” Ella Morse said in a tribute on Facebook. “Tyler you will surely be missed by many.”
