Madeline Griffin, 44, was found guilty of first-degree arson, insurance fraud and conspiracy to commit first-degree arson, when she poured gas throughout her mother's Light Street home in May 2013 and set if on fire so they could collect the insurance money, said the Connecticut Post.
Griffin still faces charges in Brookfield of assaulting her sister, using her sister's name when she called police to report the fire, and interfering with police in Brookfield, added the Post.
