The show is free and copies of the new CD will be available for purchase.

Formed in Dobbs Ferry, Greetings From Anywhere blends folk, blues, bluegrass and country into a unique roots-rock hybrid, performing with the gritty, impromptu abandon of a good-old-time garage band.

Graceful lead vocalist Sheila Noonan-Gorham, who's steeped in the tradition of Irish music, is joined by a supporting cast with diverse musical backgrounds. Acoustic guitarist/banjoist Andrew Schriever cut his chops in the Boston folk scene, electric bassist Adam Friedman and drummer Doug Schneider are veterans of the jam band circuit, multi-instrumentalist Michael Chatham is rooted in the south Florida punk/DIY tradition, and classically-trained fiddler Liz Mackanesi performed in NYC indie rock bands.

Veterans of the NYC and Hudson Valley club, pub and festival circuit, the band had originally focused on live performances. However, in the summer of 2012, they began the process of recording their growing list of original compositions, choosing to take residence at their hometown studio Riverworks Recording, a state-of-the art facility tucked into the back of a vintage theater and designed by John Storyk of Electric Lady Studio fame. In no rush to complete the project,

GFA slow-cooked their songs, developing them over the course of two plus years and completing the project in the fall of 2014. Greetings From Anywhere was recorded and produced with Matt Noble, notable for his work with Rihanna, Rod Stewart and Michael Jackson.

Greetings From Anywhere is a collection of 11 originals penned by Noonan-Gorham, Chatham and the songwriting duo of Schneider/Schriever and covers a wide swath of Americana styles and themes, from relationships (good and bad) to cross-country travel escapades, as well as the simple magic of Mother Nature.
