‘Tragic:’ Support Surges For Family After Sudden Death Of Nazareth HS Wrestler Scott Rider, 32

Support is surging for the family following the unexpected death of former Nazareth High School wrestler Scott Rider at the age of 32.

Rider died at his home in Upper Nazareth Township on May 5, his obituary says.

Rider attended Nazareth High School, where he wrestled all four years and graduated in 2007, according to his memorial.

He later attended Temple University and had worked as a plumber at the time of his death.

In addition to his love for the Dallas Cowboys, the Boston Red Sox and University of Michigan football, Rider was known for his passion for outdoor activities like golfing, fishing and slow pitch softball, his obit says.

“We lost a son, brother, grandchild, uncle, nephew, cousin, and a great friend to many,” reads the fundraiser, which describes Rider’s death as “so tragic and unexpected.”

“He touched so many lives; probably more than he will ever know.”
