SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. -- The 62nd season of Friends of Music Concerts will resume in April with performances by two outstanding chamber music ensembles and a soloist who won the Young Concert Artists International Auditions in 2013.

Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center (CMSLC) will perform on Saturday, April 16. Musicians from the CMSLC, who will include violinist Ani Kavafian and cellist David Finckel, will perform a rarely-offered program of string sextets that includes those by Richard Strauss, Antonin Dvořák, and Johannes Brahms.

The concert will be held at 8 p.m. in the auditorium of Ossining High School.

Pianist Yun-Chin Zhou will perform on Saturday, April 30. A winner of Young Concert Artists International Auditions in 2013, the Chinese pianist Yun-Chin Zhou is the sixth recipient of the Friends of Music Concerts’ Performance Award. His program will include works by Haydn, Liszt, Ravel, and Rachmaninoff, as well as six songs by Charles Trenet transcribed for piano by Alexis Weissenberg.

The concert will be held at 8 p.m. in the Kusel Auditorium of Sleepy Hollow High School.

The Pacifica Quartet will perform on Saturday, May 14. Recognized for its virtuosity, exuberant performance style and sometimes daring repertory choices, the Pacifica Quartet has gained international status as one of the finest chamber ensembles performing today. Now quartet-in- residence at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music, the group held the same position at the Metropolitan Museum of Art from 2009 to 2012. In 2009, the Pacifica won a Grammy Award for best Chamber Music Performance. Their program will include works by Mozart, Schnittke, and Mendelssohn.

The concert will be held in the Kusel Auditorium at Sleepy Hollow High School.

Tickets for individual concerts are $30 for adults and may be purchased online or by calling 914-861-5080. Students under age 18 are free. Seats are general admission only. Parking is free.
