Seen Her? Police Ask Help In Search For Wanted Poughkeepsie Woman

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. - State police in Dutchess County are seeking the public’s assistance as they search for a woman wanted for stealing thousands of dollars in unemployment benefits.

The New York State Police issued an alert regarding 34-year-old Poughkeepsie resident Shannette Riley, who is wanted on a charge of third-degree grand larceny following her arrest in 2010.

According to police, Riley was arrested for unlawfully collecting more than $3,000 worth of unemployment benefits while she was gainfully employed. After she failed to appear in court to answer the charge, a warrant was issued for her arrest.

Riley was described by police as a 5-foot-4 black female weighing approximately 220 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Her last known address was in the Poughkeepsie area.
