Giants Fans Celebrate Another Super Bowl Trip

YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Westchester Giants fans were jubilant Sunday night at Finnegan's Grill in Yorktown as the team secured the NFC Championship and another trip to the Super Bowl with a 20-17 overtime win over the 49ers.

In a game that stayed close from begining to end, it was a field goal by Lawrence Tynes that won the game for New York after Devin Thomas put the Giants in position by recovering a 49ers fumble.

The dozens of Giants fans on hand for the game said they thrilled and maybe a little surprised the team was able to win.

"I'm feeling like it's 2007 all over again,"  said Brian Battista,"I had my doubts because they missed a lot of big plays but they did what they had to do. Eli (Manning) and the defense, that's what's gonna win it again."

His friend Nicholas Bitucci also had his doubts but said he stayed positive.

"I was nervous during the game, but I knew they were gonna win," Bitucci said.

Fans streaming out of the bar shared that sentiment but they too were looking forward to Feb. 5 when the Giants will once again meet the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl, with hopefully the same results.

"I had my doubts a couple of times with the way the 49ers were playing defensively" said Giants Fan Marty Puppo. "But hey, Big Blue forever - go Giants!
