Clocktower Players Present 'Thoroughly Modern Millie' In Irvington

IRVINGTON, N.Y. — The Clocktower Players announced plans to perform the Tony Award-winning musical “Thoroughly Modern Millie” this weekend.

The performances are scheduled for Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Irvington Town Hall Theater. In case of heavy snowfall on either Friday or Saturday, the snow date is Sunday at 2 p.m.

Based on the 1967 movie musical with Julie Andrews, 'Millie' opened on Broadway in April 2002 and won six Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

The title character is Millie Dillmount, who moves to New York in 1922 in in search of a new life for herself. The score is full of intrigue and jazz, and plenty of the Charleston.
