George Magnani, 90, Paramus Resident

PARAMUS, N.J. -- George Magnani, of Paramus, died on Tuesday, March 8. He was 90.

Magnani was a Navy Veteran of World War II. "George's family was the most important thing in life to him. His devotion to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was the foundation for the loving family he and his wife Lee created," according to information provided by the funeral home. "His keen intellect and kind heart provided advice and support to all he loved."

Magnani is survived by his children, Judy Hemmel and Tom Magnani; grandchildren Javan Hemmel, Brittany Lee Adams, Tommy Magnani, Cary Magnani and Derek Magnani; great-grandchildren Dylan and Luca Magnani, and Joey Magnani and Braxton Adams; brothers Lou and Bob Magnani; and his Scottie Murphy.

He was predeceased by his wife, Lee, and his grandson, Evan.

Visiting hours will be from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, at the C.C. Van Emburgh Funeral Home, in Ridgewood. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 11, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, in Ridgewood. Interment will be in Valleau Cemetery, also in Ridgewood.
