Souza is the PopUp Artists team captain, and will be collaborating with The WaterCooler Hub, the collaborative workspace for small business, for the fundraiser.

“Our aim is to establish ourselves as an active fundraising body to help local charities while at the same time expanding our reach into the community with our handmade goods," Souza said.

Artists will be exhibiting and selling handmade goods, such as jewelry, ceramics, collage, pottery, pet accessories, soaps and silkscreen.

Local Tarrytown artists Kimera, from Gracemere Woods, and Kate, from Kate Lambeth Jewelry, along with other local artisans will be there to interact with the public and talk about their creative work.

"All of our members have been screened to make sure they are from the area, have an active shop on Etsy.com, and handcraft all of their items themselves," Souza said. "We have a deep, talent pool, and their work is diverse and high quality. We aim to become known as a group people can call upon to be there for fundraisers while providing a unique shopping experience for the public.”

The PopUp Artists is a newly formed group of artisans that are part of the Etsy.com online community and are bringing their talents to the Hudson Valley region through pop-up shopping fundraisers for local charities throughout Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Ulster, Rockland, Sullivan and Orange counties.

Alaric Young, captain of the Tarrytown Volunteer Ambulance Corp, is excited about the opportunity.

“We are thrilled to be the chosen recipient of the wonderful efforts of WaterCooler Hub and the Hudson Valley Etsy PopUp Artists," Young said. "Because virtually all of our operating and other expenses are paid for through donations and fundraising, this is indeed a most welcome effort. We are available 24/7every day of the year and no one in need is ever refused.”

Admission to the event is free.
