Fernandes brings strong industry credentials to The Westchester Bank and has more than twenty years of retail banking experience. He is a lifelong Westchester County resident and active in community business and civic affairs.

“I was extremely fortunate to have been born and raised in Westchester," said Fernandes. "It’s an extraordinary community to be part of and it’s a privilege to help local businesses find creative ways to grow. More growth means more jobs which benefit the entire community."

"There’s a real passion at The Westchester Bank to get to know our customers and their respective needs. It’s that personal interaction and involvement that makes working here very special, and very different from other larger banks I’ve worked with in the area,” he concluded.

Prior to joining The Westchester Bank, Paul was a vice president, branch manager for Capital One in Eastchester and spent 10 years working at The Bank of New York in Westchester County. He is an active member of the Mamaroneck Chamber of Commerce and long time member of the Mount Vernon Portuguese Club.

"Paul’s background is an excellent fit for us," said John M. Tolomer, president and chief executive officer of The Westchester Bank. "The White Plains staff will be well served by his leadership and strong interpersonal skills."

"From day one, The Westchester Bank culture has been very customer-centric and our business model, Banking Made Personal, continues to set us apart from other, larger banks. We’re fortunate to have Paul, who understands and executes that business model with each customer in need of a banking solution.”
